Since 1986, Champion Performance has been a heavyweight in sports nutrition. Staffed with team of medical and scientific experts, Champion has helped athletes perform at their best with a wide range of research-grounded products.
Unfortunately, the brand was under-performing and failing to connect with today’s socially engaged athlete. Despite significant growth in the category overall, this 30-year-old brand was struggling to keep up.
DHX immediately began to shift the brand focus from the dated gym-rat body builder to the modern performance-based athlete with a suite of social and digital creative aimed at increasing the Champion fan base.
Through an in-depth social media effort, detailed style guide and brand-focused creative, we were able to create a cohesive look and voice for the Champion brand that resonated with both new and existing audiences. In less than a year, DHX beefed up followers on Instagram by 28% and increased Facebook page likes by 19.5%.
